The Campeche Comprehensive Civil Protection Center (CENECAM) Project sought to concentrate the prevention and contingency response infrastructure at a strategic site. Conceived as a modern sentinel, equipped with advanced technology, it monitors the climate, designs action plans, and communicates alerts to the population.
Inspired by coral reefs, sensitive to environmental changes and a symbol of longevity, CENECAM transcends its operational function to recall the vigilance of the ancient forts of San Miguel and San José el Alto, and to raise awareness about the collective responsibility towards climate change and maintaining balance with the environment.
