Desarrollo Urbano Costero Plan Visión

Desarrollo Urbano Costero Plan Visión
Sustainable coastal urban development in Campeche with interconnected islands, bike paths, green areas, and eco-friendly buildings on stilts.

Discover what makes it unique

With the urban land reclaimed from the sea in Campeche now exhausted, the option arises for a sustainable development, an alternative to the flat and sprawling model, supported by the existing viaduct and marina infrastructure.

In contrast to the bastions that enclosed and protected the city, this intervention represents a broken bastion to symbolize the current openness to the world that now pulses in Campeche. The project proposes a complex of islands interconnected by dredged channels and ring roads with bike paths, green areas, and bridges that restore the marine flow. The development proposes phased infill with districts of its own infrastructure, buildings between 15 and 100 meters high on stilts, sensitive to light, wind, and orientation.
