Centro de Copiado COPYCOH

Centro de Copiado COPYCOH
Discover the innovative design and advanced technology of COPYCOH, a unique copy center in Mérida, featuring functional spaces and natural light.

Discover what makes it unique

Designed to house an advanced technology document reproduction center (copy center), this building stands on a 406 square-meter lot (). The required program included a reception area, customer service area, workspace, administration offices, storage rooms, restrooms, a dining area, and parking.

The concept seeks to convey the idea of planes coming to life: two parallel slabs break free from their frames and ripple like sheets of paper passing through a copier. The main, compact volume is defined by two walls that create a double-height space, with a mezzanine level in the public area and a detached wall that encloses the service areas. Natural light filters in, while artificial lighting accentuates the workspaces.
